New Journal!

We here at the library are pleased to announce the latest addition to our current journal stock the 'International Journal for Clinical Skills'. This exciting title which is only in it's third year offers readers a wide range of peer-reviewed articles on all aspects of clinical skills.

New Journal subscriptions for 2009

Following on from the results of the 2008 journal survey, the following journal titles will be appearing on the Healthcare Library shelves during 2009. Please have a look at them and let us know what you think.

· FACT—Focus on Alternative and Complementary Therapies
· Journal of Nursing Management
· Journal of Palliative Care
· Journal of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons
· Leadership Quarterly
· Medical Law Review
· Medical Teacher
· Nursing Standard
· Practising Midwife

Where possible, the Healthcare Library also subscribes to the electronic version of journals. The library also activate links within databases like Medline and Cinahl which enable staff to link directly to the full-text of articles.

Journal Survey 2007

  • Which journals do you read most often?
  • Which electronic journals (e-journals) would you like to see?
  • Which journals do you think we should subscribe to?
  • Do the journals in the Healthcare Library reflect the core journals in your field of expertise?
The Healthcare Library would like to offer you the chance to help us decide on which journals we will subscribe to in 2008. In order to do this, we will be carrying out a Journal Survey, which will run from 2nd July to 31st August in the Healthcare Library.
